Our Cattle

We started our Wagyu herd by making a family road trip to Nebraska and purchasing 3 fullblood Wagyu cows. Since then, we have expanded our herd through select embryo transfers and through finding other animals with specific genetics and traits from Iowa and Texas! Thus, giving Malloy Farms some great foundational animals to excel our Wagyu herd.

At Malloy Farms, we carefully select top genetics and utilize artificial insemination along with embryo transfer technology to further improve the unique opportunities the Wagyu breed has to offer. We prefer cows that calve unassisted, raise a great calf on their own, and are easy to handle.

We believe our cows (Dams) are the solid foundation to raising great animals, whether it’s for meat production or seed stock, it all starts with a good mama. We have some great well-balanced Dams that we are working with to further our herd, or yours. We have both full blood Wagyu and polled purebred Wagyu Dams to choose from.

Bulls (Sires) are of course a big factor in any breeding program as well and that is why we look to select from the top of the breed. We search for well-balanced, genetic disorder free sires to improve our herd, and bring in specific traits.
